Production Operative

Location: Stockport

Hours: Monday to Friday, Rotating shifts 6:30am - 2:30pm, 1:30pm – 21:30pm

Pay Rate: £14.53 per hour, overtime after 40 hours, paid at £21.79 per hour

Start Date: Immediate Start Available

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT driver/ machine operator to join a busy manufacturing and production team based in Stockport.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment and would suit candidates who are reliable, hardworking, and enjoy a challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Unloading incoming wagons
• Loading pallets of glass onto production machinery
• Operating machinery in line with company procedures
• Completing paperwork relating to pallet usage and stock movements
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are met

Requirements:

✅ Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)

✅ Previous experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

✅ Ability to follow health and safety procedures at all times

✅ Good attention to detail, particularly when completing paperwork

✅ Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team
