Sales Assistant

The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established business specialising in food, for a Sales Assistant to join their busy sandwich shop team.

Pay Rate

£12.71 per hour

Hours of Work

• Approximately 25 hours per week
• Monday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
• Tuesday: 10:00am – 2:00pm
• Wednesday: 10:00am – 2:00pm
• Thursday: 10:00am – 2:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm
• Additional shifts and hours may be available when team members are on holiday
• Must be able to cover occasional 6:00am starts when required

Main Duties

• Providing a friendly and professional service to all customers
• Taking customer orders and handling payments
• Preparing and serving sandwiches and other food products
• Assisting with general food preparation
• Cooking bacon, sausages, pork, and other products using ovens
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Replenishing stock and keeping the shop well presented
• Supporting the team with general day-to-day shop duties

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, or food service experience is desirable
• Friendly, approachable, and confident when dealing with customers
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Flexible and willing to provide additional cover when required
• Must be able to cover occasional 6:00am starts
