Class 1 HGV Driver – Night Shifts

The Best Connection Sheffield are currently recruiting for a number of experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers on behalf of our client based in the Worksop area.

We are looking for reliable drivers to work evening/night shifts, with opportunities available on either Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday.

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for depot-to-depot trunking and some store deliveries. The role involves minimal handball, making this a great opportunity for drivers looking for straightforward trunking work.

Available Shifts & Pay

• Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday
• Start times between 15:00 and 22:00
• £21.58 per hour between 02:00 and 06:00
• £18.04–£18.38 per hour outside of these hours
• £36.76 per hour on Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Depot-to-depot trunking
• Some store deliveries
• Following daily delivery schedules
• Completing daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
• Ensuring safe and compliant driving in accordance with UK road laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with the transport team regarding any issues or delays

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
• Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
• Ability to provide x2 references
