CLASS 1 DRIVERS WANTED

Earn Up to £18.50 per hour | Monday to Friday |
Ongoing Work | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity 

The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for our established transport client based in Southampton. This role has opportunities to secure a permanent contract. 

Pay Rates

- £17.00 per hour 

- £18.50 per hour for applicable shifts 

- Minimum 10-hour paid shifts 

- Weekly pay 


Location 

- Southampton 


Shift Pattern 

- Monday to Friday 

- No scheduled weekend work 

- Start times between 06:00 and 07:00 

- Ongoing, full-time hours available 


The Role 

As a Class 1 driver you'll be responsible for: 

- Container deliveries and collections between Southampton Docks and local business 

- Trunking runs to the midlands 

- Curtain-side and double-decker general haulage work 

- Conducting vehicle checks before and after each shift 

- Ensuring containers and loads are safely secured 

- Reporting any defects or operational issues to management 

No hand balling involved 


Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

- Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence 

- Valid CPC Qualification Card 

- Digital Tachograph Card 

- Previous container driving experience 

- Experience operating in and out of Southampton Docks 

- Good communication skills 

- Strong understanding of transport compliance 

Successful applicants will be required to complete a driving assessment and induction
