Class 2 HGV Drivers Wanted - Nursling

The Best Connection is currently recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers for an established food distribution client based in Nursling. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position. 

Salary - £18.50 / £20.50 per hour

Location - Nursling, Southampton 

Start time - EARLY AM STARTS 

Details of the role: 

- Working on a temp to perm contract, Subject to passing trail period you will become a permanent member of staff
- The shifts are early AM start between 01:00am-02:00am, average working shift is 8-10 hrs 
- This role is working on a 28-week rolling rota, working 4 days on and 2 days off 
- Paying between £18.50-£20.50 per hour with an 8 hour minimum shift
- Overtime paid on weekends and bank holidays 
- You will be delivering Bread to a variety of customers around the SO area 
- All products are stacked in cages and offloaded via tail lift into the supermarket delivery area
- New passes welcome, with 3-6 months class 2 commercial driving experience 
- Drivers must have good communication skills and be willing be to be flexible with finish times 
- Vehicle checks before and after each shift 

Requirements/Benefits:

- Full Cat C Licence 
- Valid CPC & Digi Card 
- Class 2 experience driving rigid vehicles
