***HGV CONTAINER DRIVER WANTED***

Here at The Best Connection we are looking for experienced HGV Cat C+E Drivers to join our client based in Southampton. This is an ongoing role, with potential to go full time with a contract. 

Salary - £17.00 per hour days and £18.50 nights  

There is a 10 hour minimum daily pay

Location - Southampton

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday

Start Time - working days or nights


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: 

- Delivering and collecting containers from the dock to local companies or Trunking up to Midlands.

- Day or Night trunking up to the midlands with General Haulage so Curtain side double decker work

- No hand-balling involved 

- Vehicle checks, making sure the containers are secured 

- Reporting any issues to the night manager 

- Start time differ depending on route/run


WHAT IS REQUIRED/BENEFITS: 

- Full UK Class 1 licence 

- CPC & DIGI required

- Valid DP World Card 

- Must complete driving assessment & induction

- Container experience is essential 

- Must have been in and out of the docks 

- Good communication skills 

- Good numeracy and literacy skills 

- On-site parking 

- Ongoing work, with overtime on weekends
