Lab Engineer

W2 Contract

Salary Range: $93,600 - $114,400 per year

Location: Mountain View, CA - Onsite Role

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BS in computer science, IT, or related field. Alternatively, 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience managing and supporting test lab environments
• Experience with lab capacity planning
• Experience managing lab utilization and recognizing lab device needs
• Able to be proactive and communicate cross-functionally
• Knowledge of Linux system administration, installation, configuration, troubleshooting
• Experience with supporting network switches and routers
• Knowledge of Bash scripting or similar command line tools
• Knowledge of Python or GoLang
• Experience setting up x86 server hardware, BIOS/UEFI configuration, and other server and rack configuration tasks

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of IPMI/iDRAC/Redfish or similar out-of-band management tools
• Familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code or similar concepts
• Experience with configuration management systems like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Salt
• Knowledge of macOS System Administration, installation, configuration, troubleshooting
• Knowledge of networking, including TCP and OSI layers, NAT, IPv6, VLANs, and firewalls
