Data Platform Infrastructure Engineer

W2 Contract

Pay Rate: $55 - $65 per hour

Location: Cupertino, CA - Remote Role

Job Summary:

We seek a Data Platform Infrastructure Engineer skilled in AWS/GCP/AliCloud and Kubernetes to build and maintain the infrastructure powering our data platform. You'll ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of large-scale systems, developing tools and dashboards for monitoring and management. Experience with infrastructure-as-code and deploying complex services to Kubernetes is essential. You'll collaborate with engineering teams within our organization and stakeholders to build, test, and maintain robust data platforms.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 8+ YOE, with 5+ years of experience working with large-scale infrastructure systems and cloud environments
• Hands-on experience in AWS/GCP/AliCloud and knowledge of its ecosystem
• Experience in scaling and operating Kubernetes
• Excellent communication skills are a must; experience working with customers directly to explain how they would use the infrastructure to build solutions that meet their business goals.
• Proven ability to work in an agile environment, flexible to adapt to changes
• Programming experience in Golang, Python, and bash scripting
• Fast learner with experience in IaC fundamentals and monitoring solutions
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or AliCloud (Must require 1, in addition to AWS)
• Experience managing Kubernetes clusters (RBAC / Security, etc)
• Experience developing, deploying, and managing services on Kubernetes clusters via Helm charts, Kustomize, etc
• Advanced Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane)
• Experience with automation for infrastructure management
• Experience with Kubernetes advanced features (Operators, OPA Policies, Webhooks, etc)
• Experience with Kubernetes networking ecosystem (Cillium, ALB, NLB, Envoy, Nginx ingress, Certificate managers, etc)
• Programming experience in Golang, experience building RESTful web services
• Advanced experience with using AI for coding

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing Temporal workflows
• UI development experience
