Salary : £23 per hour

Contract: Long Term - Full-time - Temporary

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Support Sepcialist to support students with special educational needs (SEN), including those requiring personal care.

This is a rewarding role working closely with pupils who may have autism (ASD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), or physical disabilities, helping them access education and develop independence.








Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
  • Assist with personal care needs (toileting, feeding, changing, mobility support)
  • Support students with communication and emotional regulation
  • Work alongside teachers to adapt learning activities
  • Use specialist equipment where required (e.g. hoists, sensory tools)
  • Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times
  • Monitor and record student progress








About You

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN, care, healthcare, nursery, or similar)
  • Comfortable supporting personal care needs
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training

Desirable:

  • Experience with ASD, PMLD, or complex needs
  • Moving & Handling / Hoist training
  • Background in care, support work, or health
