Cedar are looking for a highly motivated and analytically strong Strategy Analyst to work closely with senior leadership in supporting the development and execution of organisational strategy within a fast-growing financial services business.

This role offers broad exposure across strategic planning, insight generation, executive communications and cross-functional programme delivery. It is well suited to someone who is intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by meaningful impact within financial services.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis to support the development and execution of strategic priorities, synthesising complex quantitative and qualitative insights into clear findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Develop high-quality executive materials including briefing notes, Board papers, presentations and summary reports to support decision-making.
  • Support internal and external communications on behalf of senior leadership, including engagement with banking partners, regulators and government stakeholders.
  • Track progress of strategic initiatives, identifying risks, issues and opportunities, and supporting effective delivery.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across teams such as marketing, insights and transformation, as well as external partners.
  • Take ownership of discrete projects and workstreams, contributing to broader strategic change and organisational transformation programmes.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong analytical capability – structured thinking, problem solving and confidence working with data (Excel and dashboards).
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to translate complex information into clear, concise messaging.
  • Proactivity and ownership – comfortable working with senior stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Stakeholder management skills – collaborative, relationship-oriented and able to operate across multiple functions.
  • Organisation and attention to detail – capable of managing multiple deadlines and workstreams.
  • Intellectual curiosity – interest in strategy, financial services, regulation and customer impact.
  • Comfort with ambiguity – adaptable in evolving environments and strategic change contexts.

 

Experience within financial services, banking, consulting, corporate strategy or transformation environments would be advantageous.
