Xcede are excited to be partnering with an exciting Consultancy Start Up working mainly in the Retail space. They are looking to hire a Data Engineer to take lead on one major business critical project.
As the main Data Engineer, you will be responsible for scaling a delivery planning optimisation system in a GCP environment. You will be the main referent for all things Data Engineering, so we are looking for someone who is a self-starter with demonstrated experience.
Key skills/experience required:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from reputable University
- 4-6 years’ experience as a Data Engineer preferably at a start-up
- Extensive Python coding experience
- Strong experience working in a cloud environment (GCP or AWS)
- Solid skills with modern data stack and related techniques
- Containerized systems knowledge (Kubernetes or Docker)
- Experience using Airflow
- Ability to work independently and own all aspects of a project
- Passionate about building scalable systems
- Passionate about making a business impact in a fast paced environment
- Experience with Terraform is nice to have
- Some experience with ML Ops would be nice to have
