QA Auditor

QA Auditor (QA) Doncaster, England

Salary: GBP12.2 - GBP14.64 per hour

We are looking for a QA Auditor to join our team in the award winning food manufacturer in Doncaster !

 

 

Purpose of The Role:

To support/carry out monthly traceability audits to verify claims such as Beef Labelling, British Quality Approved Pork, Quality British Turkey, Farm Assurance & Maturation ensuring audits are carried out against schedule such as Glass & Perspex, Structural (Fabrication), Label/Packaging verification, Process & Line Audits (Gas Analysis, Metal Detection, Weight Verification, Traceability), Amenities (staff facilities), Good Manufacturing Practices.

Duties:

Ensure internal calibrations are carried out against schedule such as Check weighers, Temperature probes, Fridge/Freezer/Cabinets & to ensure ‘check the checker’ product audits are carried out daily and all information relating to them are relayed back to the appropriate department.

Conduct product assessment on returned products.

Conduct organoleptic sampling against schedule.

Ensure all paperwork is completed, filed/archived and all non-compliances raised.

Provide technical support to all departments.

Ensure all quarantine or rejected pallets are recorded/reported and identified/labelled correctly, whilst guaranteeing the product is stored in the correct area.

Report any non-conformance of date, quality, or quantity of products to your line leader/manager.

Carry out scheduled performance checks, ensure that they are within the set tolerances, record and report all non-compliances.

Practice excellent health & safety, and to report any discrepancies to your line leader or supervisor.

Willingness and flexibility to perform other tasks and duties that are not ‘usually’ performed day to day, required for business reasons.

Salary:  Starting salary £12.20 ph raising to £14.64 ph after succesfull 12 weeks of probationary period.


Hours of Work: Nights - 21.30-7.00 (flexible) Sun-Friday (Saturday off plus one rotating day) 

 

 The ideal candidate would have as a minimum Food Safety Level 2 and HACCP Level 2 and demonstrate a background involving technical audits within a food manufacturing environment together with strong practical understanding of Food Safety and Quality Systems.
