Position: Senior QA ETL Test Engineer! QA Background, Database / ETL Testing and automation.

Great Contract role (6 month) available in Galway (hybrid working - you would need to be based in Galway)!

Ideal candidate will have a proven knowledge on a number of testing skills, be detail oriented and will work closely with the development team.

Job Role:
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer you will be applying your strong test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software solutions. You will work as part of a new team developing performance measurement and analytics software.

Skills and responsibilities:

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
• Experience analysing workflows and identifying opportunities to design and implement test
automation.
• Deep understanding of ETL testing including source to target reconciliation and transformation
logic validation to ensure data integrity
• Good programming skills in Java, Python or any object-oriented language with ability to build
custom test automation frameworks as needed
• Experience working with cucumber or any BDD tool for designing clear, maintainable and
business readable test scenarios
• Familiarity with ICEDQ or similar data testing platforms is a plus
• Experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases including advanced SQL skills for data
validations
• Familiarity with JIRA, Xray to ensure traceability and audit compliance.
• Experience working on CI/CD pipelines and implementing quality gates in deployment pipelines
is a plus
• Knowledge of big data technologies including Apache Spark and EMR in a distributed data
environment is a plus
• Experience of working within an agile development environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
