The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (HGV1) Drivers for our client based in Felling.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional HGV drivers seeking ongoing Class 1 driving work, completing trunking routes between Felling and Yorkshire.

The role involves driving a curtain-sided vehicle, completing a small number of collections in Yorkshire before returning to the Felling depot.

The Role

• Driving a Class 1 (Category C+E) curtain-sided vehicle
• Travelling from Felling to Yorkshire
• Completing collections across the Yorkshire area
• Returning to the Felling depot
• Ensuring goods are safely loaded and secured
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Maintaining high safety and compliance standards
• Completing collection paperwork accurately
• Communicating with the transport team
• Following planned routes and schedules

The Candidate

To be considered, you must:

• Hold a valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence
• Have a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have previous professional Class 1 driving experience
• Be comfortable with longer-distance driving
• Have curtain-sided vehicle experience (preferred)
• Be reliable, professional and safety-conscious
• Have good communication skills
• Be flexible and able to work independently

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday
• Day shifts
• Variable start and finish times depending on routes and collections
• Ongoing work available

Pay

• £15.00 per hour
• Minimum 8 hours per shift
