The Role – HGV Class 1 Driving

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out trunking runs to designated locations across England.
• Delivering packaging products safely, efficiently and on time.
• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
• Representing both our client and The Best Connection positively when making deliveries.
• Attending an induction and successfully completing a driving assessment.

Previous experience in a similar Class 1 trunking role is desirable, as punctuality, efficiency and accurate deliveries are essential.

Requirements – Class 1 Driver Jobs

To be considered for this HGV Class 1 driving role, you must have:

• A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence with a clean driving record.
• At least one year of commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• A professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to provide reliable, timely and professional customer service.

HGV Class 1 Driver Pay Rates

The hourly PAYE rates for this role are:

• Monday to Friday: £15.75 per hour.
• Saturday: £18.75 per hour.
• Sunday and Bank Holidays: £19.75 per hour.

Working Hours and Shifts

Start times vary depending on the shift and may include early-morning or late-morning starts.

Shifts are available on an ad hoc basis, with plenty of ongoing work available for suitable HGV Class 1 Drivers.
