The Best Connection are recruiting a Class 2 Driver on behalf of our client, a leading pharmaceutical delivery business based near Newcastle.

We are looking for flexible drivers to cover a variety of shift patterns including days, lates, and nights. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent starting rates with an increased pay rate after 12 weeks of service.

The Role

• Deliver vital pharmaceutical and medical supplies safely to local facilities and distribution hubs.
• No heavy lifting required as all loads are loaded and off-loaded for the driver.
• Work independently to complete timed deliveries while adhering to strict security and safety guidelines.
• Multi-drop or trunking work where efficiency, care, and absolute accuracy are essential.
• Professional presentation as you will represent both the client and The Best Connection on site.

The Candidate

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Must have held your licence for at least 2 years with recent commercial driving experience.
• Excellent flexibility to take on various shift patterns including days, lates, and nights.
• Smart appearance and strong communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Hours of Work and Pay

• Flexible shift patterns with day, late, and night shifts available.
• £16.50 per hour standard Monday to Saturday day rate.
• £17.50 per hour standard Monday to Saturday night rate.
• £24.75 per hour overtime rate applicable after 48 hours worked weekly (Monday to Saturday).
• £24.75 per hour for all hours worked on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
• Pay rate increases automatically after 12 weeks of continuous service.
