A global managed service provider who are a household name in technology need a User-focused Service Designer to help them on a key project signed off initially for 12 months. The role will be remote for now but some onsite presence maybe required in Leeds or London towards the end of the year - though this is COVID dependent.
You role will be to:
• Understand users and can identify who they are and what their needs are, based on evidence, translating user stories and propose design approaches or services to meet these needs.
• Understand how the digital economy is changing user behaviour
• Visualise, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts, and make disciplined decisions based on available information and research evidence.
• Take an overall perspective on business issues, events, activities and discuss their wider implications and long-term impact focusing on outcomes rather than solutions and activities.
• Understand and can work within given constraints (including but not limited to technology and policy, and regulatory, financial and legal constraints).
• Understand why code is important, know how to talk to developers and understand security, accessibility and version control.
• Know about agile methodology and can apply an agile mindset to all aspects of your work.
• Contribute to the work of the community, building successful teams through understanding team styles and influencing as well as motivating team members.
