Salary: GBP8.21 - GBP8.21 per hour

Morson East Anglia are delighted to be working with our Client whose modern and exquisite offices are based in Norwich.

They are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator on a contract basis starting as soon as possible after initial interview.

Your role will consist of, but will not be restricted to the following:
Job Description
•Ensure that statutory and regulatory requirements, including those of HM Revenue & Customs and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors are satisfied for the company and its clients.
•Monitor, maintain and calculate all turnover calculations
•Ensure Rent Deposit accounts are set up and maintained on the tenant record accurately.
•Where service charge shortfalls occur, investigate and report to surveyors on a weekly basis
•Process car park, mall and miscellaneous income for shopping centres and provide reconciliation for clients as required
•Preparation of completion statements relating to sales of properties and surrenders of tenant’s leases, ensuring that all potential income is collected and appropriate refunds made.
•Posting/processing adjustments to tenants account as required by documentation (for example leases and licences).
•Posting/processing recharge of recoverable expenditure to tenants accounts as required and posting of journals in relation to non-recoverable proportion.
•Complete banking summaries for clients within the agreed time-frames.
•Process tenant refunds as instructed by surveyors.
•Assist with the rent raise process for all portfolios.
•Liaise with site staff to ensure service charge expenditure allocation is correct and amend as necessary.
•Update the system to raise any interest on late payment charges as authorised by the relevant surveyor.
•Work within the team to ensure there are no backlogs of work.
•Work with the wider client accounting team to ensure workload is effectively managed.
•Build strong working relationships with rest of team to improve outcomes for the team.

Candidate Specification
•Knowledge or experience of basic accounting/book-keeping
•Minimum GSCE level education or equivalent with at least C in Maths and English
•Good computer literacy skills.
•Good interpersonal and communication skills.
•Must be flexible and able to work under pressure, multi-task and effectively prioritise.
•Organised, with attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.
•Able to use own initiative to resolve day to day issues.

Desirable
•AAT Qualified
•Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
•Knowledge of Client Systems (Yardi/MRI/Horizon) would be advantageous.

Notes:
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm or 9.00am to 5.30pm. 1 hour for lunch
Duration: Initially 8 weeks, however this may progress to Permanent for the right candidate
Commence: ASAP after initial interview
