Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Marine Quantity Surveyor to join a major £30m infrastructure project based in Suffolk. This is a long-term freelance opportunity offering hybrid working, international exposure, and the chance to work on technically complex marine and civil engineering works.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing commercial aspects of marine construction works
• Forecasting and cost reporting on behalf of the main contractor
• Administering contracts under NEC3 Option C
• Supporting project delivery across marine works, including microtunnelling and drilling operations
• Monitoring project costs, variations, and financial performance
• Liaising with project stakeholders to ensure commercial objectives are achieved

 
Project Details

• £30 million project scope
• Marine works including microtunnelling and drilling
• Based in Suffolk with hybrid working arrangements
• Travel to the Netherlands required approximately twice per month

 
Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within marine, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects
• Strong working knowledge of NEC3 Option C contracts
• Experience in cost forecasting and commercial reporting for main contractors
• Exposure to marine works, tunnelling, or drilling is highly advantageous
• Ability to travel internationally as required
