Our client, a fast-growing and highly reputable commercial energy brokerage based in Sunderland, is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team of Energy Consultants. Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Energy Consultants, ensuring they consistently meet or exceed performance targets. This role requires a hands-on leader who can coach, mentor, and inspire, while also maintaining a strong focus on results and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Energy Consultants to hit individual and team targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, 1:1s, and coaching sessions to support personal and professional development.
- Drive a high-performance culture with a focus on accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor daily activity, sales pipelines, and KPIs, taking proactive steps to address underperformance.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to implement sales strategies and achieve business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company processes, and quality standards.
- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff as the business continues to scale.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar Team Manager or Sales Manager role within the commercial energy sector (TPI/brokerage experience essential).
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a proven ability to inspire and get the best out of sales teams.
- Deep understanding of energy procurement and the B2B energy sales cycle.
- Target-driven with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Confident using CRM systems and reporting on performance metrics.
- Resilient, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
