Substation M&E Supervisor (Mechanical & Electrical)
Location: Sellindge, Kent
Day Rate (Outside IR35 / CIS)
Immediate Start | 12-Month Contract
 
We're working with a leading contractor delivering critical National Grid infrastructure and are looking for an experienced Substation M&E Supervisor to support a major high-voltage substation project.

This is a hands-on supervisor role overseeing both mechanical and electrical installation works on-site — ideal for someone who knows substations inside out and can lead from the front.
 
The Role

• Supervise all mechanical and electrical installation activities on a live substation project
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to National Grid standards
• Coordinate subcontractors and site teams
• Monitor progress, quality, and compliance across all M&E works
• Liaise with site management and report on project milestones

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Supervisor on National Grid substation projects
• Strong background in either mechanical or electrical installations (ideally both)
• Valid SSSTS or SMSTS
• National Grid Competent Person certification (ESSENTIAL - must be live)
• Telehandler or Lift Supervisor tickets (desirable)
