Senior Research Associate, Assay Technologies, Lead Discovery

W2 Contract-to-Hire

Salary Range: $99,800 - $110,200 per year

Location: Redwood City, CA - Onsite Role

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the processing of compound requests for shipment and distribution using the Mosaic platform.
• Solid sample dispensing utilizing analytical balances for internal distribution and external shipments.
• Assist in receiving and processing compound samples from internal and external sources to be added to the inventory: sorting, labeling, compound solubilization, and storage.
• Prepare assay plates using automated liquid handlers (Tecan and Access/Echo).
• Contribute to the maintenance and efficient operation of the Compound Management lab space.
• Utilize analytical instruments such as HPLC, LC/MS.
• Effectively collaborate and communicate across cross-functional project teams to drive project success.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BS or BA in a scientific discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
• Experience with sample management informatics platform.
• Proficient with compound sample preparation using automated liquid handlers.
• Good record keeping, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
• Strong problem-solving skills with sound, technically driven decision-making ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
• An innovative team-player with capacity to be effective in a dynamic and fast-paced company environment.
• Strong work ethic, responsibility, and positive work habits with the ability to prioritize work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Beckman Access Laboratory Workstation and protocol development is a plus.
• Familiarity with lab automation equipment is a plus.
