Company
We are currently working with a well known waste management company who have a strong history in the Australian market and are still Australian owned. Due increase demand they are looking for 3 experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their team on a perm basis and the ability to work over multiple sites in greater Melbourne.
Role
- Check operator daily prestart forms on a daily basis and carry out rectification works required
- Prioritise and coordinate repairs through Site Managers/Supervisors
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance checks on plant and equipment
- Respond to break downs immediately
- Find and fix faults
- Determine plant & equipment's condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests and identifying worn and damaged parts
- Correct plant defects
- Verify plant & equipment performance
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems
Requirements
- Heavy Mechanical Trade Certificate (Plant & Machinery) or similar qualification
- 2 years + experience in a similar role and industry
- Strong experience in fault finding and diagnosing
- Experience diagnosing and rectifying mechanical problems
- Must have own tools and transport
- Whilst not required a current HR license is preferrable
