Senior PHP Developer (m/f) Lisbon - Remote (BBBH496403) Lisboa, Portugal

Kelly IT is recruiting a Senior PHP Developer to directly integrate our client in the Greater Lisbon area in one of the fastest growing Fintech UK companies - Full remote.

 

What we're looking for:

  •  PHP any modern MVC framework (Symfony/Laravel) minimum 7 years’ experience.
  • You will want to understand the challenges of building for highly distributed services, working with APIs and AWS services.
  • Your job is to work with the rest of the development team to ensure new features – and new products – delight customers, ship on time, and are of high quality.
  • We’re looking for a developer, not just a great programmer – so your ability to question a spec and come up with a better outcome for the user is just as important as your ability to implement it.
  • You’ll be courageous in your approach to technology and not be afraid to undertake major changes if that is what is required to get the job done.
  • Your code will be self-documenting, exhibit sensible and recognisable patterns, and your designs will be capable of being easily refactored as we scale, grow and further develop our products.
  • Experience working with AWS and its features.
  • Understanding of BDD.
  • Experience creating sites within a micro-services infrastructure.
  • Must have experience working in a LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
  • Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development.
  • Some knowledge of JavaScript front end frameworks, Angular JS advantageous.
  • Translation of designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code.
  • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
  • An understanding of low-level database administration and hosting environments.
  • Experience of automated testing (preferably PHPUnit and Behat/Selenium).
  • Version control with GIT (BitBucket, GitLab) Understanding of GIT workflows.
  • Latest industry standards and a passion for learning.
  • OOP design patterns.
  • NoSQL, such as Elasticsearch.
  • Microservices / Docker.
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services
