Business Analyst

About the role

The Business Analyst is a member of a team responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of software solutions that facilitate Navitas global business operations.

The Business Analyst will be participating in business analysis activities undertaken within the development process, supporting the development of scoping documentation and estimate tracking while supporting growth opportunities and planning. Business Analysts will work in a Scrum based Agile development environment providing the necessary support and guidance to business stakeholders and the development teams.

The person we seek will ideally have the following:

Essential:

  • Flexible approach to problem solving, characterised by the ability to conduct research on issues, analyse problems and recommend solutions.
  • Self-motivated and goal orientated.
  • Capacity to engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the products meets its intended purposes.
  • Good knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies
  • Experience in working as a Business Analyst
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, IT, Engineering or Management
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Visio
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and Database servers
  • Legal right to work in Australia

Desirable:

  • Experience in working in the education sector or similar industry
  • Good knowledge on one or more tools used for tracking the IT project work and IT service delivery i.e. Jira
  • PRINCE2 Foundation Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Knowledge in Business Process Mark-up Notation (BPMN) and Event Driven Process Chain (EPC) methodologies
  • Basic awareness of IT Infrastructure including Active Directory, Cloud Services, Exchange/Office 365, AWS.
