Salary: NZD32 - NZD32 per hour

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Coating Technician to join our growing specialist contracting team. You’ll apply advanced protective coating expertise across a range of high-value structural projects. This includes industrial work on milk silo farms, carrying out coatings on concrete and aluminium structures, as well as bridge repair and wharf remediation projects. You’ll work closely alongside concrete remedial crews delivering epoxy repairs, crack injection, and other structural repair works.

Duties

  • Apply industrial and protective coatings to concrete structures and post-tensioning systems on different projects
  • Prepare surfaces to specification and make sure coating quality standards are met on site
  • Work on complex infrastructure projects including bridge repairs, strengthening, and structural remediation works
  • Work closely with engineers and supervisors to deliver coating solutions that meet project requirements
  • Maintain safety standards at all times and complete all required QA/QC documentation for coating applications


Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in industrial coating applications
  • Proven experience with protective coatings on concrete structures and repairs
  • Have proven experience on industrial, marine, or construction coatings

Requirements

  • New Zealand Certificate in Protective Coatings (Level 4-5) ore relevant experience
  • Full Drivers license and flexible to travel across Auckland and regional works
  • Site safe
  • Physically fit and can pass a drug and alcohol screen
  • Current confined space training
