Location: Cebastone, Leicester

Salary: £32,195.10 + overtime

Working Pattern: Days: Mon–Fri 6am – 2pm

Are you a skilled JOINER or Pattern Moulder looking for a stable, long-term role with great hours, strong overtime rates and a specialist workshop environment? We’re recruiting a JOINER to produce high-quality wooden moulds and patterns used for materials such as concrete to be poured into. If you enjoy precision work, interpreting drawings and building to tight tolerances, this JOINER / Pattern Maker opportunity could be ideal.

The role (what you’ll be doing)

As a JOINER / Pattern Maker, you will:

• Read and interpret sketches, drawings and CAD data to determine pattern/mould specifications
• Build wooden patterns and moulds, allowing for shrinkage/draft where required
• Measure, mark out and cut materials accurately using layout and measurement tools
• Assemble components using fasteners, glue and dowels to create completed moulds
• Use workshop machinery alongside traditional joinery/woodworking tools
• Complete quality checks to ensure finished moulds meet specification
• Maintain tools/equipment and work safely to site standards
• Liaise with designers, customers and contractors to confirm requirements

Pay, hours & benefits

• Salary: £32,195.10 per year (£15.38/hr)
• Hours: 08:00–16:00 until signed off as competent, then 06:00–14:00
• Days: Monday–Friday
• Overtime: paid at a flat 1.5x (all hours/days, including Sundays)
• Typically 6 hours on Sundays most weeks + occasional weekday OT
• Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
• PPE: supplied on site
• Shutdown: 2-week Christmas shutdown

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a JOINER / workshop joiner / wood machinist / pattern maker
• Strong drawing interpretation skills (sketches/CAD outputs)
• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Confidence using woodworking machinery and hand tools safely
