Summary
The Lab Technician will perform specialized laboratory tests to determine properties of well cements and spacers.
Duties:
Set up, operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments such as balances, mixers, pressurized consistometers, ultrasonic cement analyzers, static gel strength analyzers, fluid loss testers, viscometers, and other equipment.
- Sample prepared, tested, and reported using industry standards.
- Result reported and stored manually and electronically.
- Quality control check performed on materials used.
- Cleans laboratory and equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Laboratory experience supporting the oil and gas industry preferred
- Ability to read and interpret written technical procedures
- Must be able to work with basic mathematical concepts
- Possesses basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED combined with professional laboratory experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
