A leading technology R&D business in Abu Dhabi are looking to recruit a Performance Management and Succession Planning Consultant to support the effective governance and delivery of performance management, competency assessment, and succession planning processes across the organisation.
This is a 12 month renewable contract.
This role sits within the Learning & Development function and works closely with HR partners, business leaders, and line managers to support performance, capability, and succession outcomes through structured frameworks, calibrated processes, and data-driven insights. The role is suited to a specialist who enjoys structured environments, analytical work, and process governance.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end performance management cycles, including objective setting, reviews, and year-end assessments.
- Coordinate calibration activities to ensure consistency and fairness in performance outcomes.
- Govern competency assessment frameworks and ensure consistent application across the organisation.
- Lead succession planning activities for identified critical roles, including tracking readiness, risks, and development gaps.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready performance, competency, and succession data.
- Prepare talent insights and reports for leadership and HR stakeholders.
- Support governance, policy adherence, and internal audit requirements.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance and competency assessment processes.
- Support system configuration, testing, and data quality related to performance cycles.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and talent-related projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 4–6 years’ experience in performance management, competency assessment, or succession planning
- Strong understanding of performance and succession frameworks and processes
- Comfortable working with HR systems (SuccessFactors and/or LMS platforms preferred)
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and data-focused
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Analytical and structured thinker with a governance-oriented mindset
