Customer service Export Coordinator –Basingstoke RG24 / Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 / Full-Time / Hourly Rate: £15.38 / 6-month contract

 

We are seeking a Customer Service Export Coordinator to join our client’s dynamic team in Basingstoke. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing the end-to-end export process, ensuring international customer orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with trade regulations.

You’ll be the central point of contact for export-related customer communication, working closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage international customer orders to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers to arrange transport, packaging, labelling, and temperature-controlled solutions.
  • Prepare export documentation including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs paperwork.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints while adhering to departmental processes.
  • Liaise with internal departments to confirm stock availability, pricing, and resolve issues.
  • Communicate proactively with international customers regarding order status and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor export performance metrics (LOTIF – Lines on Time in Full) and take corrective action when needed.

  • Support continuous improvement through Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives.
  • Promote compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Requirements/Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in an export, logistics, or customer service role.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong Team player skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Complaint handling/conflict resolution skills
  • Basic understanding of international trade and export compliance is preferred.
