Our client, a global leader in innovation and quality, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join their dynamic team in Warrington.
Summary
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for completing a range of key tasks including work order kitting, issuing goods from inventory, release label printing, and stock control. You’ll ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to internal customers, supporting daily operations and maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy.
This role requires specialist knowledge in at least three core areas and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You’ll act as a key support to the Team Leader, stepping in when needed to provide leadership and guidance. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including PR administration and change control (ECOs), using the PPI methodology.
A customer-focused mindset, strong communication skills, and experience in regulated environments such as life sciences or pharmaceuticals are essential. You’ll play a vital role in helping the team meet performance targets and maintain a safe, efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute key material handling tasks including work order kitting, inventory issuing, label printing, and stock control.
- Support internal customers by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials.
- Champion process improvements using the PPI methodology and contribute to change control (ECOs).
- Step up as a leader in the absence of the Team Leader, offering guidance and problem-solving support.
- Maintain inventory accuracy (target: 97.5%) and ensure Right First Time/On Time Delivery (target: 99%).
- Participate in continuous improvement activities like Gemba walks, RCCM, and JDI completion.
- Train other operators when acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Experience
- Experience in a regulated life sciences, pharma, or medical device setting.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and logistics-related software.
- Proven ability to follow SOPs and meet operational schedules.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
