Order Pickers – Voice Pickers
Tamworth
Day shifts: 9.00am – 6.00pm
Permanent job after 4 WEEKS
Working pattern: Any 5 days out of 7 including Weekends
Pay: £10.03 per hour
Overtime paid at premium rates
The Role:
- Working within cold store warehouse
- Managing of pick ticket orders - Voice Picking Technology
- Pulling warehouse items from the shelves based on number, size, colour, quantity, and quality requirements
- Ensuring orders are accurate
- Staging of items correctly for delivery
- Operating of handling equipment and ensuring safety regulations are followed
- Ensuring warehouse goals are met
- Maintaining a high level of health and safety standards
- Operating scanner so that proper orders are picked, and inventory is managed accurately
- Other general warehouse duties as needed
- A positive working attitude and the capability to take instruction well from Team Leaders and Management
Candidate Requirements
- Picking and packing experience
- Happy to work within cold store warehouse
- Previous experience working in a warehouse is preferred
- Keen attention to detail, ability to lift heavy objects
- Able to use technology, Wrist watch scanner and headset
- Physically fit as expected to walk up and down the aisles, most of the shift
- Pushing and pulling of a trolley will be required for most of the shift
- Must NOT be afraid of heights
- Ability to stay on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
- Ability to work well in a team but be self-motivated and independent at times
