Our Client is an Award-Winning, leading Not for Profit Organisation in the Community Care Sector, specialising in Indigenous Healthcare. Their primary focus and strategic directive is to improve the quality of life for vulnerable people living in regional communities, whilst respecting their way of life, culture and religious/spiritual beliefs.

They take a holistic approach to the care services they provide and the people they assist. They partner with local communities, government departments, regional support providers, health clinics, Aboriginal Medical Services and local GPs to support their programs and users of the service.

THE EXCITING OPPORTUNITY

We currently have several exciting opportunities available, both located in Metropolitan Alice Springs.

1 POSITION FOR TEAM LEADER – CLINICAL CARE – CERTIFIED RN – COMMUNITY SERVICES

  • Bachelor of Nursing, Health Science or related discipline, ideally with some management or leadership qualifications
  • Set tasks, goals and lead the daily operation of your team
  • Ability to train, educate, mentor, inspire and lead your team to success
  • Assist Clinical Manager with duties and act in role on Facility Manager when absent
  • Human resources duties including recruitment of staff, monitoring team performance, providing feedback and coaching; working closely with human resources

1 POSITION FOR A COMMUNITY LIAISON NURSE – CERTIFIED RN – COMMUNITY SERVICES

  • Bachelor of Nursing, Health Science or related discipline
  • Liaising with Clients, Local Community, Government Departments, Clinicals, GPs, while also attending Exhibitions shows and Fairs, all to promote our Clients Services
  • Focus on services available to older people, and people with disabilities
  • Physical assessment of new referrals, evaluating health status, and referring to Case Manager
  • Highly focused on Person Centred Care
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant legislation, quality framework and funding guidelines, including Aged or Community Care, including homecare

1 POSITION FOR A CLINICAL CASE MANAGER – CERTIFIED RN – COMMUNITY SERVICES

  • Bachelor of Nursing, Health Science or related discipline
  • Managing complex clients with several packages, including: HCP, TCP, STRC and DVA
  • Providing Clinical Care to Clients, and responding to Clients queries and concerns
  • Ability to participate and support education and development activities
  • Ensure Care Plans are implemented and reviewed accordingly
  • Liaise with and educate clients and families on healthcare
  • Liaise with specialists

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Will ideally have a demonstrated knowledge and cultural sensitivity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and their culture
  • Must have community services or aged care experience
  • Must be a certified APHRA Registered Nurse
  • General understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal Australians
  • Current National Police check and OCHRE Card or willing to apply for one
  • Computer literate
  • Must be a current Certified Registered Nurse, and have current First Aid
