  • What is the job?
  • Diagnose malfunctions and performs vehicle repairs related assigned duties within qualification level, in accordance with all relevant Federal, Provincial, and local guidelines and requirements
  • Oversee and comply with the local implementation of maintenance and safety standard operating procedures in this maintenance facility, ensuring that local staff comply with all locally applicable public authority legislation, regulation, and standards.
  • Oversee and assist staff 
  • Work hands with your staff side by side when needed to implement preventive maintenance for the vehicles serviced by this maintenance facility
  • Active participation in the work needed to complete “unscheduled repairs” to the vehicles serviced by this maintenance facility
  • Represent the maintenance activity at the local level in a professional and compliance level
  • Supervise the maintenance staff at this maintenance facility
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Existing knowledge of the service/maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, skilled in time management and organization.
  • Familiarity of the region, and the ability to maneuver efficiently and effectively within all traffic situations.
  • Willing to work flexible shifts to meet the demands of the business
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with computer systems (work orders, client tracking systems)

    What do you bring to the job?
  • Truck and Trailer mechanical repair experience
  • Experience with Compliance with the local applicable DOT compliance of Med / Heavy Trucks
  • Must be computer proficient
  • Strong experience with computerized diagnostics
  • Ability to use good judgment and Decision-Making skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational Skills
  • accurate, methodical, and detailed approach to testing and repair.
  • Must be organized, diligent and detail oriented.
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedules
  • Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, team environment with hard deadlines and client demands.
