Acoustic Consultant
My client offers consulting services aimed at ensuring compliance with relevant British Standards and building regulations. They collaborate with design teams to facilitate the cost-effective implementation of acoustical design. Their current portfolio encompasses projects within the hospitality, education, residential, and healthcare sectors, spanning a spectrum of scales from small to large developments. Most of the work they undertake is between Riba stages 1 to 3, encompassing the initial application and concept design, as well as providing remedial advice on any required changes in plans for the development.
Requirements:
* A BSc or MSc in Acoustics or a related discipline.
* Experience in building acoustics, specifically in construction RIBA stages 1-3.
* Knowledge of new builds and existing structures.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in acoustics with MIOA status.
* Proficiency in writing technical reports to a professional grade.
* Valid driver’s licence.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Managing and communicating with key stakeholders.
* Reviewing plans to ensure that all acoustic measures meet British regulations.
* Working onsite with colleagues to undertake surveys and tests when required.
* Writing technical reports and offering remedial advice to clients.
