Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Production Operatives and Manufacturing Operatives to join a busy and growing engineering and manufacturing company based in Heathfield, Newton Abbot.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday production job in Newton Abbot, with full training provided and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

No previous manufacturing experience is required. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for candidates with a practical attitude, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn new production and manufacturing skills.


What We Offer

  • Monday to Thursday: 7am–4pm.

Key Duties

  • Assemble components and specialist products as part of the manufacturing process.

  • Use hand tools and basic measuring equipment safely and accurately.

  • Follow simple engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.

  • Bend and shape metal tubing.

  • Carry out brazing and soldering of components.

  • Complete wet spray painting.

  • Carry out silicone moulding and coating.

  • Check finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards.

  • Pack finished products ready for dispatch.

  • Work across different areas of the production and manufacturing process.

  • Maintain clean, safe and organised production areas.

  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Full training will be provided, so previous experience in all of these areas is not required.


Requirements

  • Reliable, motivated and keen to work.

  • Practical approach and comfortable working with your hands.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow instructions and production processes accurately.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Willingness to learn new manufacturing and engineering skills.

  • Commitment to working safely and following health and safety procedures.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, engineering, factory work, construction or a similar environment is advantageous but not essential.

  • Experience using hand tools, soldering, brazing, tube bending, spray painting or working from engineering drawings would be advantageous.

  • Own transport is essential due to the location, as there is currently no suitable public transport available.
