Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for an automOtive organisation located in the Worcester area who are seeking a Production Planner to start immediately.

Duties and tasks will include:

• Plan all aspects of production
• working closely with the Sales team, the Drawing Office and the Stores team
• Issuing lead times and completion dates to departments
• Manage the hours for each job
• Manage holidays for five departments, factoring these into the job hours.
• Manage the specification register with the Managing Director
• Request information to order parts and steel ahead of arranged build dates
• Ensure daily operations are in line company processes and procedures, implementing new ideas for better results
• Ensure good housekeeping

Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:

• Experience in a manufacturing/engineering sector
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving and organisational skills
• Confident in computer skills, including Microsoft office, excel, etc
• Team player, who can drive a positive, energetic team
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Positive attitude to deliver excellent results
• Demonstrate ambition and a drive to succeed in their career
• First Aid trained (advantageous)

Hours of work are 40 per week (day hours). Parking is available.
