Working hours : 7.5h a day Monday to Friday

Pay rate : £16.44

What You’ll Be Doing
In the role of Tenancy Support Officer, you will provide assistance in finding accommodation for clients with an offending history and continue to support them in their own homes by empowering the client with the skills to lead an independent life within the community to be able to maintain their tenancy. You will also be expected to provide a comprehensive support assessment, a holistic support plan and review meetings for the clients.

This is a high-impact, caseload-driven role that requires sharp focus and accountability:

• Caseload Management: Partner with the Home Office to provide holistic guidance on housing, benefits, health, and employment.
• Homelessness Prevention: Actively minimize rough sleeping and economic hardship by securing sustainable accommodation.
• Life Skills Coaching: Empower clients to master everything from rent management and property upkeep to English language proficiency.
• Holistic Support: Conduct comprehensive assessments and create SMART-objective support plans for a variety of challenging client groups.

About You

• Qualifications: A recognized Level 4 qualification OR a combination of training and at least 2 years of experience in a similar resettlement or housing environment.
• Knowledge: Firm grasp of the Children’s Act 1989, Care Act 2014, and current homelessness legislation.
• Experience: You must be adept at conducting face-to-face home interviews and managing clients who may display challenging or disagreeable behaviour.
• Communication: Strong negotiation and influencing skills are essential to navigate multi-agency partnerships and contentious issues.
• Mobility: Access to a car or the ability to travel across the borough and Greater Manchester is required.
