Civils Foreman (NG Person – Substation)

Location: Kings Ave Site, 157 Acre Lane, London, SW2 5UA

Rate: £26 per hour – PAYE only

Hours: 07:30 – 18:00

Duration: 10/08/26 – 18/09/26 (40 days)

A leading power & utilities contractor is seeking an Civils Foreman (NG Person – Substation) to support emergency reactive works at an LPT2 National Grid site in London. This role involves supervising civils activities within a live substation environment and ensuring safe, compliant delivery of critical works.

Key Duties

• Supervise civils teams working inside a live National Grid substation.

• Coordinate daily activities with supervisors, engineers, and plant operators.

• Oversee safe lifting, material movement, and civils operations.

• Ensure all works follow National Grid safety rules and site procedures.

• Maintain organised, compliant work areas.

• Support emergency/reactive works and adapt to changing priorities.

• Carry out tasks as directed to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.

Required Qualifications & Cards

• NG Person – Substation

• EUSR Utility SHEA Power

• Manual Handling

• Emergency First Aid at Work

• Plant & Vehicle Marshal (PVM)

• Slinger Signaller

• COSHH Awareness

• Fire Safety Awareness

• BB Supervisor Passport (minimum requirement)

• Confined Space – Medium Risk

• Other tickets may be reviewed for derogation.
