About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Triage Worker to join a specialist LGBTQ+ domestic abuse service on a fully remote basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse, undertaking triage assessments and identifying safeguarding concerns. The service takes a specialist, by-and-for approach, so applicants must be part of the LGBTQ+ community and have an understanding of the barriers LGBTQ+ survivors may face when accessing support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out initial triage assessments to understand individuals' circumstances, risks and support needs.
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and assess risk relating to domestic abuse.
  • Provide sensitive, trauma-informed support to survivors.
  • Signpost and refer individuals to appropriate specialist services and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
  • Work in a person-centred way, ensuring individuals feel heard, supported and safe.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working within domestic abuse or domestic violence services.
  • Experience in a relevant role, such as an IDVA, domestic abuse caseworker, triage worker or domestic abuse practitioner.
  • An understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and the impact of domestic abuse.
  • Strong communication, assessment and organisational skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS.
  • Applicants must be part of the LGBTQ+ community, in line with the service's by-and-for model.

Additional Information

  • Fully remote working.
  • 3-month temporary contract.
  • Immediate start available.

If you have relevant domestic abuse experience and are interested in this opportunity, please apply with your most up-to-date CV.
