About the role

This position reports into the Engineering Manager and works closely with project managers, construction teams, estimators, and external utility stakeholders. You will play a key role in delivering detailed engineering designs across underground electrical infrastructure projects while supporting project delivery from concept through to construction and commissioning.

The role will focus heavily on underground power design, cable routing, thermal analysis, utility compliance, and renewable energy connection projects.

Duties

• Deliver detailed underground electrical designs for utility infrastructure projects
• Complete cable sizing, thermal studies, and ampacity calculations using CYMCAP
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and construction requirements
• Support project and site teams with technical advice during delivery and commissioning

Skill/Experience

• Experience delivering underground utility or electrical infrastructure designs
• Strong capability using CYMCAP for underground cable design and analysis
• Knowledge of HV/LV cable systems, trench design, and utility standards
• Experience working within utilities, EPC, construction, or infrastructure environments
• Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar
