Salary: AUD130000 - AUD170000 per annum + + Super + Bonus

About the role

Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will work closely with project engineers, operations teams, external consultants, OEMs and construction contractors to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes across a growing portfolio of BESS assets.

The focus of the role is to act as an owner's engineer through early design, detailed review and brownfield integration activities, ensuring designs are practical, constructable and aligned with operational requirements.

Duties

  • Review and challenge LV and MV electrical designs across utility-scale BESS projects
  • Develop concept and preliminary electrical designs for brownfield integration works
  • Define cable routes, switchboard interfaces and equipment layouts
  • Support technical decisions across grid connection, balance of plant and commissioning activities
  • Manage external engineering consultants and EPC partners throughout project delivery

Skills & Experience

  • Experience designing or reviewing LV and MV electrical systems within energy, utilities or industrial infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of switchboards, protection systems, cable sizing and electrical schematics
  • Experience integrating new assets into existing brownfield infrastructure
  • Ability to interpret single line diagrams, protection philosophies and detailed electrical drawings
  • Electrical Engineering degree recognised in Australia
