About the role

Vinova are working with a leading energy business delivering critical infrastructure across the electricity network. This position sits within a specialist grid connections team and reports into senior leadership within network development.

You will work closely with internal engineering teams, external developers, EPCs and market bodies such as AEMO. The role focuses on delivering compliant, high-quality connection outcomes while supporting the growth of renewable and storage projects across the network.


Duties

• Perform detailed power system studies using tools such as PSCAD, PSS/E, Power Factory and SINCAL
• Prepare and negotiate generator performance standards and technical reports
• Support connection applications under Chapter 5 and 5A of the National Electricity Rules
• Liaise with stakeholders to deliver compliant and efficient connection solutions


Skill/experience

• Degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering
• Strong experience in grid connection studies within utilities, consultancies or developers
• Knowledge of National Electricity Rules (Chapter 5 and 5A)
• Experience with PSCAD, PSS/E, Power Factory or similar tools
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders
