The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative for our leading manufacturing client based in Wheatley, with immediate starts available.

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can work outdoors, stay active, and be part of a busy and supportive team?

This role is ideal for someone with a merchant or yard background who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a safe and organised workspace.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within a merchant or yard environment
• Full UK driving licence
• Knowledge of maintaining yard equipment and vehicles
• Minimum 1 year yard experience preferred (but not essential)

Hours and Pay:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00am – 17:00pm
• £12.71 per hour (changes when you go perm)

Job Responsibilities:

• Carrying out daily yard activities, including movement of vehicles, materials, and equipment
• Loading and unloading lorries
• Maintaining, servicing, or reporting defects on machinery (e.g. forklifts, JCBs)
• Ensuring health & safety policies are followed at all times
• Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe
