Clinical Biostatistician

W2 Contract

Salary Range: $166,400 - $197,600 per year

Location: Redwood City, CA - Hybrid Role

Job Summary:

This position is to serve as a lead or supporting statistician for oncology studies, and to coordinate activities with other functional groups to ensure timely deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide statistical expertise for design, analysis, and reporting of clinical studies.
• Collaborate with various functions on study design and planning, protocol development, statistical methodology and analysis.
• Develop statistical analysis plans and analysis specifications.
• Conduct and/or perform QC on statistical analyses, including statistical modeling, as needed.
• Collaborate with the statistical programmer team to ensure that analysis is conducted per statistical plan and specifications.
• Collaborate with data management and clinical operations to ensure robust CRF and database development and quality data collection.
• Contribute to authoring/reviewing of publications and regulatory documents, and ensure consistency and accuracy in data presentation.
• Represent biostatistics on study/project teams.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or M.S. in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology or related field, work experience as biostatistician in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry or medical research with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Solid tumor drug development experience is required.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Proficiency in SAS and/or R.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with early development clinical studies is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Good interpersonal and project management skills are essential.
