Document Controller/Assistant Quantity Surveyor (RSNDCAQS) Corby, England
| Salary: | GBP30000 - GBP35000 per annum |
We are looking for a candidate to assist the management team on site and help out with both document control and the commercial function of the project. This will include practical quantity surveying tasks and activities to support colleagues and carry out appropriate administrative duties.
The role will be beneficial for any candidates that are looking to further their site experience.
The successful candidate will:
- Build on their own skills and knowledge of the Quantity Surveying profession and Commercial functions of the business.
- Build on their own skills and knowledge on construction processes and document control.
- Gain further knowledge of construction methods.
The successful candidate will expect to carry out daily duties and become a valued member of the site management team.These being:
- Carry out Take offs to assist in the procurement of materials and subcontractors.
- Ensuring that working drawings are updated to the latest revisions and circulated to the relevant subcontractors.
- Assist in monthly Subcontract valuations ensuring that Site measures are carried out accurately, Payment notices are issued and report back regularly to the project QS.
- Assisting in the Procurement of outstand packages, sending out enquiries and obtaining quotes.
- Ensure that site filing systems are updated and maintained.
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
- A good understanding of MS Office and Excel programs along with a good standard of written English, and the ability to generate professional correspondence unaided.
- Able to work on own initiative
- Methodical, conscientious and organised
- Ability to multi-task, and work efficiently and accurately
- Work well as a team member and assist in daily duties
