About the Company:
Unidex Health care are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the health care field specializing in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

Following a stroke last year, our participant is looking for someone who is easy-going, patient, and gentle in nature, as their speech is currently impaired. The successful candidate will be a good listener with strong communication sensitivity and a calm, understanding approach. This role goes beyond providing daily support — we are looking for someone who can also offer genuine companionship. A good sense of humour and the ability to build a relaxed, positive rapport are highly valued.

Duties:

• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with bowel management (no digital stimulation, only enema’s)
• Assistance with transfers
• Assistance with rehab exercises
• Assistance with domestic tasks and meal preparation
• Medication management
• Assistance with community access 

 Skills & Experience

• Australian Driver’s License
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support minimum requirement
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support effective communication module
• Ability to follow care plans and maintain participant dignity and independence
