Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Night Driver on behalf of a well-established logistics provider based in the Redditch area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Night Driver seeking consistent work with a professional transport operation that genuinely values its drivers.

Our client is a respected UK logistics and supply chain business, supporting nationally recognised retail brands through dependable distribution and delivery services. 

Pay Rates

PAYE:

• £18.50 per hour

PAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday:

• £20.73 per hour

Rolled-up holiday pay is available as an optional arrangement for drivers who prefer to receive their holiday entitlement within their hourly rate.

The Role

As a Class 1 Night Driver, you will be responsible for completing store deliveries across the region, operating independently and ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.

Typical duties include:

• Completing 3-5 store deliveries per shift
• Acting as a key holder for delivery locations
• Opening and securing stores when required
• Operating the vehicle tail lift
• Unloading deliveries using roll cages
• Handball duties where necessary
• Completing POD (Proof of Delivery) documentation accurately
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Maintaining vehicle and delivery compliance standards
• Working independently throughout the night

This is a responsible role requiring attention to detail, reliability and a professional approach.

Shift Information

• Monday to Friday
• Night shifts available
• Start times between 17:00 and 22:00
• Typical shifts are 8-12 hours
• Optional weekend work may be available

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this Class 1 Night Driver role, you will require:

• Valid UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum driving experience preferred
• No more than 6 points for minor offences
• Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage store access responsibilities
