HGV Class 1 Night Driver

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver to work on behalf of our well-established client based in Evesham. Pay Rates

PAYE

• Monday to Friday: £19.50 per hour
• Saturday: £21.50 per hour
• Sunday / Bank Holiday: £21.50 per hour

PAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay

• Monday to Friday: £21.85 per hour
• Saturday: £24.10 per hour
• Sunday / Bank Holiday: £24.10 per hour

Drivers can choose whether they would like holiday pay accrued separately or included within their hourly rate as rolled-up holiday pay.

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you will be completing supermarket deliveries to retail stores across the UK. This is a physically active role combining driving duties with unloading responsibilities.

You will be responsible for:

• Completing store deliveries to supermarkets and retail locations.
• Conducting vehicle and trailer safety checks.
• Delivering goods safely and efficiently to scheduled delivery points.
• Self-tipping deliveries.
• Unloading roll cages using tail lifts and pump trucks.
• Handballing stock where required.
• Completing proof of delivery and transport paperwork.
• Following all site procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Maintaining compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Communicating effectively with transport and operations teams.

Typical Shift Pattern

• Start times between 23:00 and 01:00
• Thursday to Monday night shifts available
• Average shift length of 10-12 hours
• Additional shifts often available at weekends
• Ongoing work throughout the year

What We're Looking For

• Full UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience preferred
• Comfortable with self-tipping and manual handling duties
• Good communication skills
• Excellent time management
• Reliable and professional approach to work
