We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Support Workers to support a male participant living with a Spinal Cord Injury based in Jacobs Well. The participant is currently in hospital and is expected to be discharged in approximately 2–3 weeks. Successful applicants will be required to participate in meet-and-greets and paid hospital-based training prior to discharge to ensure they are confident and fully prepared to provide safe, consistent and person-centred support.

Roster:

Monday – Sunday

• 6am – 8am x 2
• 12pm – 2pm x 1
• 6pm – 8pm x 2

Duties:

• Assistance with Bowel and Catheter Care
• Medication assistance
• Assisting with exercises and rehabilitation
• Community access – OT, Physiotherapy and community appointments
• Personal Care
• Manual handling and hoisting

Skills & Experience

• Australian Driver's License
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support minimum requirement
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support effective communication module
